Larry W. Backus, Executive Vice President/Shareholder with Alliance Tax Advisors, LLC, has over years twenty years experience in the ad valorem tax industry. An expert in business property taxation, he has worked with all types of income producing properties focusing mainly on the multi-family industry, as well as complex manufacturing facilities. Mr. Backus has extensive representation experience throughout Texas.

Education and Credentials

Mr. Backus earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance from Texas Tech University. He has successfully completed numerous courses with the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Institute, and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Mr. Backus has been designated a Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) from the institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). A mark of distinction, this designation represents the highest level of professional achievement in business property taxation.

Mr. Backus is a Senior Property Tax Consultant in Texas and a registered Property Tax Agent in Arizona.
